If you let your MLM business take over your life, your health and personal relationships can suffer so deeply that you lose the ability to propel your business forward. Keep your MLM business in its place and keep pushing it back as you become more successful.
  2. Avoid MLM programs that claim they can make you rich quickly. Business success always takes hard work. There are no exceptions. It may be months before you actually see any profit. Choose the MLM program that will support you as you build your business, not the MLM program that says it can make you money immediately. They are lying, and chances are very good that they just want to take advantage of you.
  3. Be ready to mentor. There is nothing like that moment when you realize that you’re no longer the new person; instead, you’re an experienced entrepreneur with valuable insights to offer others. Don’t avoid mentoring others in order to pursue your singular success. That is not how MLM programs work. Support every person you recruit, keeping in mind that each person’s success enhances your own.
  4. Choose an MLM business that awakens your passion. Running a business is hard work, and you’ll get much further if your “miles per gallon” are good. Identify your passion and have the courage to go after it. When you do this, you position yourself for long-term success because you will love what you do, even when things get tough. You can’t afford to be a flash in the pan; you need a product that brings you back and is a delight to share with others.

  1. Take it a day at a time. Businesses come with long- and short-term goals, and it is very important to keep chipping away at them. Don’t let your long-term goals prevent you from doing what needs to be done today. Keep your focus narrow. Poke your head up once a quarter to see how things are doing. This will allow you to make adjustments to keep your business on track without getting too distracted on a day-to-day basis.
  2. Test your products completely. In order to be successful in your marketing efforts, you need to know your products better than anyone else. When you know your product inside and out, it will be easy for you to slip it into conversations and answer questions with confidence. You’ll be able to position your product as a solution to a much wider array of issues, which is the best way to increase your sales. People love it when you solve their problems!
  3. Know the numbers first. Before you get started, make sure you understand how your revenue is actually made. The more you know, the better you can fine-tune your expectations and therefore your ultimate success.
  4. Take your business seriously. The magic of MLM is that you have true control over your success, but it can be a double-edged blade. If you don’t put in work every day, you can end up struggling. Even if you can’t do much, do a little each day, and it will build up!
